The BTK is used for providing training to the students of 1st year in basic Continental and Indian cuisines. The kitchen is equipped with latest equipments used in the hotel industry .
Advance Training Kitchen (ATK)
The ATK is used for teaching and training international cuisines to the final year students. The ATK is the kitchen where specialised training is given to the budding Chefs.
Quantity Food Kitchen (QFK)
QFK is used for 2nd year students who learn to cook for large number of guests and learn to cook the regional cuisines of India. Students cook lunch for more than 300 people which is served as lunch to all students of the institute. Breakfast and Dinner for hostellers is also cooked in this kitchen.
Bakery & Confectionary
The Bakery & Confectionary department trains the students in the art of making yeast products, flour confectionary products, pastries, cakes, chocolates, cold and hot pudding the way these are prepared in the industry. IHM, Kurukshetra has two separate Bakery labs for practice for 1st year and 3rd year students.
House Keeping
The Institute house keeping lab is equipped with the most modern machines to train the students to provide clean and hygienic atmosphere.
The three model guest rooms designed as hotel rooms are used to provide hands on training to the students.
Laundry
Institute has a functional laundry with modern industrial equipments to train students in laundry operations and make them multi skilled to even handle laundry of the hotel.
Front Office
Front office is known as the nerve centre of the hotel, thus the students in this lab are trained to handle reservations, reception, concierge and cashier functions as done in the hotels.
BTR & ATR
Institute of Hotel Management, Kurukshetra proudly boasts of two training restaurant which are used to train its students in various aspects of F&B Service. These restaurants are used for all kinds of functions and theme parties also.
Training Bar
Training bar of the Institute is equipped to train the students regarding the service of various alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and the preparation of various cocktails and mock tails.
Computer Lab
The computer lab is well equipped the latest computers and modern software and Internet connectivity through LAN and Wi-Fi, which enables the students to make use of this opportunity to update themselves with the current trends in the industry.
Resource Centre (Library)
As Library place a very important role for the overall academic development of students, therefore to provide the best facility to our students, the Institute boasts of specious and well stocked library with latest books, journals, and periodicals.
Lecture halls & Class Rooms
The Institute has got well designed classrooms developed as learning halls to create an atmosphere of professional training. These are equipped with audio visual aids such as OHP, Slide projector and LCD projector etc. They help in effective presentation of lectures and thus help for better conceptual growth of students.
Green Campus & Sports Complex
Since Institute is situated away from crowded area of main city, its well maintained lawns provide eco friendly atmosphere to the students. There are football, volley ball, kho –kho and badminton courts for students to play and maintain a healthy physical being.
Student Dinning Hall
Institute has two dining halls attached with the QFK which can seat more than 200 students. Here the students are provided with free lunch in clean and hygienic atmosphere.
Auditorium
The multi purpose hall of, Institute is fully air-conditioned with a seating capacity of more than 250 persons. It is used for seminars and extra curricular activities to bring out inherent talent of the students.
