Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Jyotisar, Distt. Kurukshetra is an Autonomous Institute jointly sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Department of Tourism, Government of Haryana. It is a society registered under Society of Registration Act with District Registrar of Firms & Societies, Kurukshetra. Its first academic session commenced from July 2008. It is located on Kurukshetra – Pehowa Road, adjacent to famous Kalpana Chawla Plantarium, and is 2 kms from Kurukshetra University.

Kurukshetra town is situated 160 km North to Delhi on the National Highway No 1 and is connected to rail & road net works. Kurukshetra is also famous for ‘seat of learning’ having Kurukshetra University and Regional Engineering College. Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition is another addition to this famous educational city.

It was here that Lord Krishna preached his philosophy of ‘KARMA’ to Arjuna, as enshrined in Holy Bhagwat Gita.
